Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Android Support 

    • Support for Android 16 (Release)

    • We fixed an issue where devices with PIN code went offline after reboot for Xiaomi, Google Pixel and Huawei devices.
    • Resolved an issue where Samsung devices with a PIN code would go offline after reboot.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the secure screen to appear black on Samsung devices running Android 15.
    • Corrected the SetNetworkConnection behavior for airplane_mode on Huawei P20 Lite.

    iOS Support

    • Support for iOS 26 Beta
    • An issue with executing hybridClearCache command on iOS 18 has been resolved.
    • Resolved an issue where Device Unlock was not working properly.

    Appium Server

      • Support for Axe Deque Driver: As of Appium Server Version 2.16.2, we now support automated accessibility testing with Axe Deque Driver.
      • iOS Capability: We added a new capability digitalai:skipSafariCleanup which ensures Safari Cleanup script is not triggered at the end of each session, when setting the capability to True (Default is False).
      • acceptInsecureCerts Capability (iOS & Android): Added support for acceptInsecureCerts capability (W3C capability) which allows Appium tests to run on insecure websites. The default value is False.
      • Appium Server 2.17.1 is now available.
      • Appium will now return digitalai: prefixes in the returned capabilities.
      • Fixed an issue where audio recordings were empty on iOS devices.
      • Resolved a bug where the GetNetworkConnection command did not function as expected.
      • Addressed a problem with ADB shell commands via Appium (driver.executeScript("mobile: shell", command);).

      Reporter

        • Fixed an issue where clicking on a Report URL redirected to the Reporter Dashboard instead of staying on the Reports page.

        • You can now remove Jira projects configurations in the Reporter.

        • Resolved an issue causing an uninformative error after android instrumentation failures.

        • In some instances where testName capability is empty, the name on the generated report appeared incorrectly, which has now been resolved.

        • Fixed an issue where test reports from Appium executions were missing.

      Selenium Agent

      • Fixed a bug impacting IE mode tests in Selenium when using the capabilities ieMode=true and browserName=MicrosoftEdge.

      • Resolved an "Invalid Token" error affecting Safari browser sessions on macOS Sonoma.


      Mobile Studio

      • New Test Editor Command: The new "Authentication" step allows you to mock any authentication response, such as Face ID or Fingerprint.

      • Resolved an issue where iOS devices experienced lag after enabling device logs during a Mobile Studio session.

      • Fixed an issue where devices disconnected during Appium test execution while a Mobile Studio session was active.

      • Fixed a timeout issue that occurred when using the object spy to fetching a screen dump from application screens containing WebView context (Appium Grid).

      • Fixed a bug that occurred on iOS devices when setting Focus on the Safari app was not working properly (Appium Server).

      • Resolved an issue where the Application Manager was filtering out Android Applications with .test suffice in the package name.

      • Fixed an issue where the Test Editor would close unexpectedly when docked to the right.

      Test Execution

      • Playwright: We fixed an issue where unneccessary ASCII characters (E.g., [1G[0K⠙[1G[0K⠹[1G[0K) were appearing in the logs.

        ATTENTTION:

        • Starting with version 25.4, the following operating system will be out of support:
          • Android 5.1, 6
            • iOS 12, 13, 14

        • Starting with version 25.5, we will disable a few of our properties, under SetProperty.
          • os.allow.orientation.correction used to allow iOS non-instrumented dump orientation to be corrected. Now the correction is made by our cloud natively - please make sure you correct your tests if needed.
          • ios.11.use.old.monitoring.service used only for iOS 11, which is not supported anymore, to choose the service used for monitoring CPU / Memory.


        Notes and Known Issues


        • Long videos in Automotive Projection may not appear in video reports.
