What is the Mobile Device Cloud?

The Mobile Device Cloud is a platform of Deutsche Telekom MMS GmbH, which provides its customers with access to up to 200 real mobile devices. Customers can use these real mobile devices for their testing and development purposes. Real mobile smartphones and tablets with iOS and Android from different manufacturers, in different operating system versions and different sizes are available. The real mobile devices can be used for manual or automated tests.

The Mobile Device Cloud is a German Cloud and is located entirely in Germany at the site of Telekom MMS GmbH in Dresden.

Where can I find the prices for using the Mobile Device Cloud?

Can I try out the Mobile Device Cloud for free?

Why is my free trial account restricted?

For security reasons, the number of test devices and the functionality of the test accounts are restricted.

How do I get an unrestricted test account?

Contact us and tell us about your specific needs and concerns regarding the use of the Mobile Device Cloud. In consultation, we can then create a full test account for you without any restrictions.

Are the servers of the Mobile Device Cloud located in the EU?

The Mobile Device Cloud is a German Cloud and is located entirely at the Telekom MMS GmbH site in Dresden, Germany. It is therefore subject to the data protection guidelines of the EU.

Testing with the Mobile Device Cloud

On how many mobile devices can I test my app in the Mobile Device Cloud?

We provide our customers with access to up to 200 real mobile devices with different operating system versions. Real mobile smartphones and tablets with iOS and Android from various manufacturers are available.

Are real devices or emulators used in the Mobile Device Cloud to test apps?

In addition to access to up to 200 real mobile devices, the Mobile Device Cloud also provides access to Android emulators and iOS simulators. In addition, it is possible to use different desktop browsers on different operating systems.

Does the Mobile Device Cloud store my app, my tests or any other data?

The real devices of the Mobile Device Cloud are automatically set to a defined state after each use by a so-called cleanup process. In the process, browser data and apps installed by users are deleted.

Can several employees of my company test apps?

You can add more users to your project who can use the Mobile Device Cloud. The users share the number of manual or automated sessions you have ordered.

Can I run automated test scripts?

The Mobile Device Cloud supports the most popular test automation frameworks for Android and iOS with Appium, Espresso, Tosca and XCUI Test. In addition, web tests can also be run on our provided browsers using Selenium.

I don't have any automated test scripts, can I also run tests manually by hand?

Manual tests are also possible. You can select any device from our pool of devices and control it as if you had it in your own hands.

Can I integrate the Mobile Device Cloud into my build pipeline?

Integration into a build pipeline, e.g. using a Jenkins build server, is easily possible.

Which desktop browsers are supported by the Mobile Device Cloud?

We offer Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge, the most widely used browsers. However, we recommend the Google Chrome browser in the current version.
